Even if you don’t identify as neurodivergent, I bet you find a lot of those ADHD videos so relatable. All of us have struggled to change ourselves in order to fit in and function in society.

You are expected to change yourself to fit in.

You feel like you are the problem.

But you aren’t.

You’ve been wearing a false mask in order to be acceptable and it is time to challenge what you’ve been told.

  • How do you sort through what to challenge and what to accept when it comes to the ways we “fake it” in order to function?
  • How can you get more clarity on the clutter of behaviors you’ve used to survive?
  • How can you embody the true self?

Using the arts helps you to identify and redefine the ways you’ve suppressed yourself and to celebrate who you are.

  • Live with more ease, confidence, and self awareness so that you can stand up for who you are and how you want to structure your life
  • Develop awareness of shame triggers so that you can activate self compassion and not be immobilized by society’s judgments
  • Be comfortable in your own skin and courageous so you can be unabashedly yourself even in the face of judgment
  • Envision the self you are trying to become and identify actions you can take
  • Learn new arts-based responses to shame, obstacles, and perfectionism so that you can align your decisions, small and large, with your authentic self
  • Create a visual reminder and learn a set of movements so that you can stay connected to the vision for what you want to embody
